how to pick pocket in Assassin's creed?

Just lock on and B isn't it?

I haven't played the game in ages, it's just what I first thought :p

:edit: OH, PC GAMES. Damn it :o

thanks, I'll try that

assassin's creed feels like one of those games better off with a joypad perhaps

First you Lock onto, get close enough to them whilst you are still behind them, then i think its hold shift. lil tip i can offer u is, when u get to clsoe to fast and you see the character you wanna pickpocket about to turn around because he suspects you of something, quickly press the Key that makes u look like a scolar, (forgot which key is it) he wont suspect anything then, lol.
Kinda funny i guess but it works.

Hold down shift near them, and his arm will raise and attempt to pick pocket.

I believe the default key for looking like a scholar was space bar?

Joypad

Yeah the first time i got my 360 pad this game made me happy :) ... until i tried it with the pc controls which turned out to be a lot more precise. The joypad is a bit more like 'cruise control' sit back and play but the mouse lets you turn on a dime - handy when blocking attacks from all sides and tricky grabbing of ledges at odd angles. I loved this engine...shame there wasn't really a game to it.

btw first post on OcUK forums - lo all! :D

Claimed! Also, exactly my thoughts on the game.

It had a lot more potentioal than it delivered.

I stated this in a different thread...But I think they should have kept the game solely in the AD period, rather than some random nut going back in time via his DNA pattern or whatever :p

Spoiler? -> GET IN THE MACHINE DAMMIT

Maybe they were trying to confuse people into immersion by adding another unrelated (and uninteresting) storyline...or maybe they wanted to justify that computery graphics effect they liked to stick in. And the 'unable to access memory' magic wall stopping you from going where you're not supposed to. Or maybe it was just paving the way for it's sequel. All said and done i really want a sequel! :) Mirror's Edge should be fun in the meantime.

You can see how little patience I have these days - I did the first couple of missions and when it came to my very first pickpocket, I couldn't do it and switched the game off in disgust. Haven't touched it since.
