How to play PC games on TV in distant room?

I had a Steamlink which worked well until an update bricked it, but even when it worked, it only let me play Steam games.

Is there something similar that works for all platforms (Epic, Rockstar, GOG, Origin etc)?

I want to play my PC games on my TV but they're at opposite ends of the house.

Do you have an Nvidia card? Geforce Go does this but I think you’ll need a Shield connected to your TV. Sorry I haven’t don’t it for years but it worked very well using a shield tablet (Maxwell era IIRC)

Oh sweet - that sounds encouraging. I'll look into it.

I should read up more on the SteamLink, but I can't understand how such a small inexpensive piece of hardware was able to do what it could do, without there being competing generic products.
