How to plug in headphones?

Hi, my sister just bought a pair of logitech headphones and i dont have a clue how to get them to work

. There are two cables 1 is pink other is black, i put them in the back of comp but no sound came out. She has a Sound blaster audigy 1 in the computer as well. The computer is Pentium 4 around 4 years old.

I tried to get them to work on my computer as well but i couldnt get sound out of them either. Could anyone help plese

Generally the pink is the mic (this headset must have an inbuilt mic?). The black is presumably for the headphones and should connect to the green socket on a PC (normally front/main output is green on creative cards and in general)

if its the same model as my audigy the black should go in the 2nd socket from the firewire port

i did that dr em but i couldnt get any sound out of them. I tried changing a few settings through the audigy console such as setting it to headphone but no luck

. Going to try what darreny said brb

. Will it work the same way on my X-fi extreme music? I have connected my 5.1 speakers to them and the only spot that is free on the card is the very far end. If anyone can confirm that this will work i may get myself a pair of these

Edit : i got them working by taking out one cable and putting in the headset one so i will either get these or a better pair
