Was wondering where I could get packaging for such a daunting task and what price is usually charged with a company such as Parcelforce? Any others do it cheaper?

yeh i was just wondering this my self as im thinking of selling my bmx on that auction site

I think other courier companies will do it fairly straight forward.

Point to point delivery- might cost a few quid but you will pass that on to the buyer.

Best answer call a few in the morning. :D

In a realy big envelope with lots of stamps :D. Failing that any courier should do it but as previously stated, pass the P&P onto the buyer and phone round some companies to see how to package it. If you part dismantle it (wheels n saddle ...ect) it should be a little easier.

theres parcels2go, I've never used them though so have no idea what they're like.

Was going to suggest them myself. Someone off here used them to deliver a base unit to me. From my end at least, the experiance was very good. I got an email with a tracking number and everything :)

Go to your local bike shop

I've had a few people coming in asking for empty bike boxes to post stuff in.

Yeah, just pop into your local Halfords. We always had a huge stash of bike boxes when I worked there.

Should be a simple case of connecting your VDU and turning it on. It's usually one of the first things you see :p

On a more serious note, try parcelforce or something. maybe even a courier irm

It could be worth asking at your local cab office as some of them do a courier service

Finally sold my bike, but parcel2go don't seem to do large parcels, at least from what I can tell?

Also, anyone with bike selling experience, how much does 20" mountain bike weigh? :D

Depends on the individual bike.
Yes, it certainly does. Thanks for pointing that one out. :D

Any 20" bike weight will do though, i'm not looking for an approximation here.
