How to power an Arctic Accelero from the Motherboard?

I have ordered an Arctic Accelero and understand that it is supplied with a cable that you can use to supply 7V or 12V to the fan by plugging in to a Molex ie the fan RPM is fixed

Is there a cable or plug adapter you can buy which runs from the GPU to the Motherboard GPU 3/4 pin supply so that you can vary the fan RPM via Afterburner or other ?

From what I've read you can power it via your card directly if it supports PWM. Which version of the Accelero have you ordered?

Would a fan contolor be a good idea, that way you can turn it up when gaming and down for stuff like browsing

I think so. I've ordered a Mono myself and will do that as I've only got a 2 pin connector on my board.

Just fitted an Accelero hybrid II and it comes with a four pin lead that plugs into your GPU.

I think it should have PWM connectors, for your GPU. You should then be able to control them via Afterburner or some other software. What model in particular did you order ?
