How to prevent image / URL redirection? (Tinypic!)

I wasn't sure whether to post this in GD or in the Windows section. I'm trying to view the picture on Tinypic. When I inspect the page's content, I can see that the image's URL is http://oi51.tinypic.com/2en9bva.jpg

Putting it in the address bar however redirects me back to the host page. Any idea how to get around that? I went into about:config which is kinda like a registry editor for Firefox. Change the value in network.http.sendRefererHeader from 2 to 0 but to no avail. It redirects in Google Chrome as well.

Is there any workaround? A solution for Photobucket would be good too, but PB isn't as bad because at least you can get to the source image when inspecting the page.

Imgur does it as well, but that is the lesser of all image hosting evils, so I'll forgive that site!

Thanks :-)

What exactly are you trying to achieve with that? I click on the link and get no redirect to tinypic just image in the browser window

This image ? I used wget and then copied to another hosting site.

Cheers guys. When I right click > open in new tab, it still takes me back to the host page  Gah these image hosts are so annoying. I prefer the old web 1.0 days when the ISPs gave us webspace.

Might have to disable JS? I'll look into wget as well.

P.S. peterwalkley - I managed to open your image ok without a redirect.

It's for reasons like this, and others, that I thank the Internet gods for Pixhoster. No ads, no redirects, no messing. It's fast, lean, and does exactly what you'd expect. You get to choose from direct links, viewer links or embed codes. It's always fast (and free) too. Perfect.

I honestly don't know what the attraction is with the bigger hosts full of spam and nonsense. :o
