Have been asked to tender a bid for an educational instution. A 30 pager. Logos, colour schemes, and photos will be provided to me.

They have asked that I give a "price per page" ... I want to make an honest decent buck, but as it's only my 3rd business website I was puzzled on how much to charge.

Any ideas on how to calculate such a figure?

£hourly rate + 25% :)

Shouldn't take too long to do each page once you've sorted the template. Depends on the content really. Average £30 per page + other fees (the template design, coding) should do it I think?

Just be very, very aware of the time per page estimations - trust me, they'll hand you crappified Frontpage-HTML, Word Docs, Powerpointsm - the *lot* - and you'll spend *ages* formatting them correctly.

We took on a school site (much smaller than 30 pages though) for a fixed-price of ~£1200 and just did it to our time estimate.

once the main theme is done (menuing, logos, footers) it's straightforward to put new text, a photo or 2, and some headings into the other pages.

cheers BEANsprout, it gives me an idea.

I've got some pics (jpgs, 8mega pixel ... 5mb each image) from them, and some text, and logos ... got to get it all done in a short space of time.

They also mentioned they wanted to edit someof it, so some CMS type system required (that'll be extra).
