how do I print a picture at actual size, In paint.net I've resized it to 150cm wide and about 70cm high. (it's a template) how on earth do I get it to print out at actual size as it forces you to fit to paper or select one of the other several dozen size formats. rather than just splitting it over as many pages as needed and printing to size.

I know its due to what actual size is. but as paint.net you can specify canvas size in cm rather the DPI then this shouldn't be an issue.

Open image in Paint. Go to file, print, page setup. Set Scaling to 100%. You can also adjust your print margins here.

Then check in print preview, and print to XPS to check the layout/size is fine, you can hold an A4 sheet to your monitor and adjust the zoom until the on-screen page is the right width. Then check preview once again and print to printer.

I've never printed a poster like this btw.

Thank you that appears to work, wont know exactly till its printed but it looks good.

I don't suppose you know any free program that can lay a grid over the top of it, needs to be 1mm wide lines and 2mmx2mm inside square.

Its not a poster, i want to make a global map out of acrylic and using it as a template.
