How to quick charge over USB

I have a Note 2 and a computer with USB 3 ports. Is there any way to charge the phone at a higher current rate (1A or 2A) when connected to the PC?
Basically wall charger rates from the PC.

Alternatively some sort of splitter cable that allows power input from a charger and data I/O over the computer USB?

Alternatively if I installed wireless charging, would this act to 'boost' the charging current?

My Asus Motherboard has AiCharger+ on 2 of the USB3 ports (not the Microsoft controller ones) that output 'Fast Charging' amperage!

Also make sure you have a 'Fast charge' capable USB lead... I have 2 that don't and though my USB3 ports were borked until I found a couple of leads that did, now I can charge my Phone (previous Nexus 4, Now Lumia 830) and Tablet (Nexus 7 2012) at AC charging rates rather than USB. :)

Hmm my motherboard is Asrock but on googling harder it seems they have a piece of software called App Charger that (aside from looking like a malware scam, as does Asus' product page for AiCharger+ for that matter, I mean seriously?) may apparently work to "pump more voltage through the USB slots" (lol) and allow up to 40% faster charge with Apple devices..
Anyway I guess it's worth a try!
Yeah my cable is the same one as for the wall charger and allows charging at 2A.
Cheers

I was dubious when I saw the Asus page, but it was linked from the Support page for my Motherboard, so I bit the bullet.

Both devices said "AC" at the top of the Battery section, where as before it always said "USB" in there!

I'm using the old Sony cable that came with my Xperia Arc which seems to work, but my wife's Lumia 620 cable still says "USB" if I use that! :)

Hmm that sounds as though it might disconnect the data pins to make the phone think it's charging via AC, and therefore be useless for transferring data etc while quick charging the phone :(
Still, I can but try.

Is there (for want of a better way to put it) an 'On' switch :)

I can't even find any evidence of it running! There's no executable in the install folder (apart from the uninstall) and no likely processes in Task Manager.

I even tried running the Asus one but it crashes with an error on starting :(
