How to recharge Soul Stones in Oblivion?

Hi guy's, how do you recharge a Soul Stone in Oblivion? I have a load of empty ones and don't know how to fill them. Is it something to do with the creatures that you can summon or is it some other magic? I have loads of Varla stones but don't want to waste them on just a couple of items. Better to use one of those when you have a bagful of items that need charging.

you cant recharge soul stones they are single use items. That aside you need to use a spell before killing the creature that captures the soul.
