Is there a way to record a program off the iplayer on to a pc to watch it later?

There is a series my mum recorded on Sky+ but one episode failed. It's still on iplayer. I was thinking fraps or something.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Setup fraps right and you should get an watchable result.
As it streams with DRM and that it was a bit tricky when I tried to borrow something from it a while ago, would like to know if there is a nice solution yet though :)

Is there not the option to download them? I know some programs you could do that with before. Has it changed now?

If you download the full iplayer software, then some programs can be downloaded. No idea if that software is still available. Even then, it might sti be time limited.

You can download it with the iplayer app. But you have to watch it in the time frame set by the BBC. There is no 'legal' way to obtain it without these restrictions.

I downloaded it with the iplayer desktop player and it says it's available till march 20th. She will have to watch the series before that.

Cheers guys.

It's changed it's mind, now says it expires in 6 days. It's also a bit jumpy.

Still looking for another solution if there is one.

As soon as you start watching a program the expiration date changes to 7 days.

There was a program that striped the drm from the video files but it's been ages since I used it and I think they've changed the video format now.
