How to recover gamertag if cant remember windows live email ?

Scratching my head here there is no way to find out or connect to gamertag without the dumb @hotmail.co.uk email you use ? even if you know the gamertag and password ? I deleted gamertag by mistake and cant remember the windows live ID email address duuuuuur If I call them up with the password and gamertag they'll give me my email ? I don't get it why isn't there a site I can log in to using gamertag & password only ?

Is there a previous/old gamertag on your XBOX? If so you can try this... LINK

If not, you'll need to contact Microsoft Tech Support with some information, such as bank account/ card used for XBOX Live and Address etc...
If you don't have any of that information, then it's gone... Forever!

thanks but there's nothing in account management ? why would there be after deleting gamertag ?

You didn't say you deleted it. I wrote the answer before you edited your OP.

You'll just have to contact their technical support with as much info as you can remember to help get your account information, otherwise they can't help you.

This is seriously the dumbest thing ever i should be able to simply log in with my gamertag and password !!!!!!!! or answer security questions give address etc or credit card ah well looks like am calling them and have to wait until tomorrow to do so by the looks of it

yea but you are forced to use hotmail and I dont use hotmail for anything other than xbox live and I disagree I should at least be able to enter gamertag and password somewhere to recover email address

Do they still force you into using hotmail addresses? That's a bit crap.

Guess you'll have to mail them with your other details.

Nope they don't force you to use Hotmail. I've got my Windows Live account with my personal (not Hotmail) account and my Gamertag is registered to the live account.

I think he means they force you to use a Microsoft account, so the old Hotmail or the newer Windows Live ones, same thing pretty much.
