How to recycle greenhouse glass?

I have a greenhouse with in excess of 100 sheets of glass which I'd like to recycle. Unfortunately my local council (Newport, South Wales) doesn't have this facility.

Any ideas please?

Buy a big whopping great big fan from B&Q or somewhere & make your very own 'Crystal Dome'!

"COULD YOU START THE FANS, PLEASE"

:p

I would gladly take it off your hands if it was the right size. I've got a greenhouse that is in need of 100 or so sheets of glass.

However, Newport is a bit of a way to travel. :(

I guess you could smash each pane individually and post all the pieces into one of those recycling bins at Sainsburys. The smashing bit would be fun, worth buying a new hammer for specially.

Here's an idea. Drag it out to the front of your house and put a chain and padlock around it. Guaranteed to nicked!

:D

Good suggestion but owing to the volume of glass this would be a very lengthly process...

Damn councils should provide the facility tbh - they're always harping on about how we should be recycling more!

Now if I was a Gypsy I'd just dump it on the side of the road... then moan that I'm being persecuted
