How to reinstall Internet Explorer 6?

I'm starting to have several errors with IE6 ("error on page" icons at the bottom left of the ie6 window) and would like to uninstall it and reinstall a fresh copy with factory settings.
Scans for spyware/virus etc didn't get anything.

Can you guys show me how to do this?

Enter this command in the Run dialog. You will need you XP CD in the drive.

my first post was

use firefox, dont visit any noob websites

but then i re-read the post, and it seems like one of those ms issues and not from user error..
