I have just gotten approx 6 Windows RT 8.1 tables and need to reinstall windows 8.1 or 10 on them but these tablets do not have any USB ports just a micro SD card slot. How would one go about install a fresh windows installation on a tablet device that doesn't have a USB port, im unable to get into windows itself

Also how do you access the BIOS section on a Windows Tablet, as when you boot it asks to press DEL but as there no on screen keyboard im unable to do this!?

Any idea what model they are? Seeing as it's Windows RT though, I'm not sure if it follows the same install method as the normal x86 versions of Windows.

Got, "gotten" is an American abomination of language. :D

Tried a BT keyboard? That might get you into the BIOS, sketchy but worth a shot.

What tablet is it out of interest? Care much about opening the back up?

Well this is the thing i have no idea what type/make of tablet it is, theres no logo or stickers on any of the devices (there all the same), they are black gloss on the front and white gloss on the rear.

Yeah ive seen that already but i dont think its aimed at ARM systems, as the SD card i have windows rt on has a whole bunch of folders (which appear to be lang folders) and then 2 files...

bootmgr.efi
SurfaceRT.30.CONFIG.8.17.0.wim.mrk

Sadly i dont have a VT keyboard to hand

Does it have a micro-usb slot?

Might be able to use a USB-OTG cable, firstly to plug a keyboard into get to the bios and secondly to plug in a USB to install Windows?

Could maybe take a photo of the tablet? Might be able to guess what model it is. What does it say under system properties?

I fresh installed Windows 10 on a Linx 8. to be fair I used a OTG cable to a powered USB hub.
