Bought a 9600x, and it looks like it's faulty, need to test if it's the motherboard or the CPU. Have just delided my 9900x and need to remove it to test the new processor, Murphy's Law in full swing. Any suggestions for safe removal are welcome.

The 9900x is in the socket with Thermal Grizzly heat spreader, I need to take the 9900x out of the socket with as little risk as possible to test the 9600x.

A little more complex and delicate, the 9900x is delided in the socket with a custom spreader. The 9600x is easy even though I have installed a Thermaltake mount, it's how to grip the 9900x without dropping it.

I hadn't even given it a visual and had more than over analysed the complexity. Far simpler than I had imagined.
