clean it as best u can with soap water sponge etc.

then cover it in dettol or something similar.

try dettol out on small area first to make sure it doesn't dye carpet - shouldn't do.

Sponge and little washing up liquid or anti-bax, be-careful you dont bleach your
carpet.

Used above in our house hold before now.

Or do you have any Vanish or simular.

First of all, kill the puppy and make a thai curry.
Second of all, did you stand in it barefoot or?
Third of all, scrape the bulk off and dispose of, then scrub with warm soapy water, if the stain is really tough use some of that spray on vanish stuff.
Plus stick some bicarb on it if it still stinks after.
