Any tips on removing this from the wall?
There appears to be enough optical fibre slack but I can’t see the mounting points to remove from wall, and I don’t fancy just ripping the modem off the wall!

Are the modem and battery not on the wall mounts which you just slide up/down, then it lifts off?

Don't personally know, just throwing the idea out there

Remove all the modular parts that you can and you should see the mouting screws there are multiple mounting points on mine. I took some pictures when i stripped mine down so it went back together the same way. Be super careful with green connector though mine had a release catch.

Unclip the ONT and the battery backup from the plastic housing, there's a couple of screws behind them.

Make sure you cover up the fibre connector well (tape a bag over it or something but try and avoid touching the end as you could scratch it), store the ONT out of the room that's getting dusty.

If you wanted to extend the fibre out of the room temporarily so you still have internet while the plastering is getting done then you need a singlemode SC APC patch cable and an SC APC coupler. The APC part is important and should get you a green connector. If you use a UPC connector you'll damage the end face of the fibre.
