Hi, I bought a pre built bitfenix prodigy build from overclockers a few years back (can't remember when) randomly this week I was getting black screens, the screen was flickering when I tried to play games. Tried different cable problem still exists, tried reinstalling Windows 10 and still persists so I'm trying to remove the card as I think it is the card. However, I am having trouble removing this cable, any ideas? It feels like it's stuck. Sorry not that technical when it comes to things like this

Hiya,

I'll try to be over specific if i can ........

Where the wires go into the actual plastic socket part, hold your fingers/thumb at that part, then gently push the block in more if you can .........

What that does is release some tension if you've tried to pull the connector off without the locking tab being fully clear .............

At the same angle as your picture is, from the right saide on the right connector, you need to slip a narrow flat screwdriver or even hard plastic knife (mcdonalds etc)

From the right side you just slide it under the latching part as far back as you can, you will see the bust part kind of go downwards, that's it all working fine

When you can just right-hand hold the screwdriver/alike, and carefully and slowly try wiggle/withdraw the cable end from the connector

Harder to type to explain than to actually do in realtime lol

Hope that makes sense

The pushing in can sometimes make it less of a pain to remove, but once you've removed it, you will see how simple it is and how fast you can do it again if needed

Just don't go like a bull at a gate, take your time and if you need pretty heavy force you're not releasing the catch part enough

Post back when you've done it, ohh, i bet a lot of us have been in the same situation too, i sure have

EDIT: Sorry, looked like the right tab was bust in the pic ;-)
