How to remove vista?

I have vista installed on another hard drive and i was dual booting with xp on my main drive. I want to get rid of vista off the other hard drive but dont want to format it, cos theres stuff on there, how can i delete vista?

Even when im in windows xp and look at the drive it wont let me delete the windows/program files etc of the other drive. :confused:

Can't you just back your stuff up of the other drive what you want and formate the drive with vista on?

I think you have to make a repair to the mbr, im not sure? I suppose i could take the data off and format, its just a headache.
