Anyone know how to get rid , I need special permissions , though I cant seem to change anything , Everything I find on the internet and youtube is for W7 , once you get passed the advance tab after properties/security , its all different .and I cant find anything that relates to this new layout , the tab im supposed to be looking for does not exist ? Its taking rather a chunk out of my SSD

Disk Cleanup does it, iirc.

thanks , I tried that originally and it didnt come up , Apparently you have to do it twice . For it to show , now done with ease , just wish I hand"nt wasted all that time last night going round the houses getting no where with permissions

You're welcome, dunno if you know already but if you're worried about space on your SSD you can also disable Hibernation (if you don't need it), it'll maybe free up a couple of GB.

cheers yeah , what does that do , how do i find that ?
Im nearly happy getting most of the things now ironed out on this OS .
Finally got all me speakers working , and desktop monitor gadgets , waiting for that media center product key to be sent to email , they say 72 hours .
Only other thing is the taskbar goes across all three of my screens , havent found how to have it on the center only in nvidia surround . It used to be in the options but cant find it anymore .

Hibernation just allows your system to reboot quicker, but I suppose if you're on an SSD it's going to be quick anyway. Iirc the space you save is whatever you RAM is, or maybe a bit less than that.

This is how I do it...

(Check your free space before hand and then check it with Hibernation disabled so you can see see exactly how much space you've saved.)

1. Open an Elevated Command Prompt.

2. In the command prompt, type powercfg -h off and press Enter.

3. Close the command prompt.

4. Restart.
