one of my competition is doing SEO tricks i consider to be pretty dirty.
they have many many many websites for their services, each pretending to be another hidden name. the names are generic service plus area names, e.g. manchester plumbers, yorkshire plumbers, no1 plumbers manchester, but i can instantly tell it's all the same business. the online chat is the same, the booking system etc, however to untrained customers they will just assume they're getting quotes with another company each time and end up booking with the same company.
it's frustrating to say the least, i can deal with them having many websites for each service, but to pretend to be another business name so it tricks the customer is unfair on everyone.
what can i do about this? i want to report it to google, but how. i also wouldn't mind reporting it to something official if that's possible?
