hello i got dell inspiron 1750 today it is running slow i was going to try and restore it back like new how do i do that thanks

reinstall windows with the disc you got and use the resoure cd for all the drivers etc or search dells site for your drivers.

Your Dell has a recovery partition on the Hard drive so as long as the drive has not been replaced then should still be there.
look at the following dell web page for instructions. Select step 2 PC RESTORE
You will find for your laptop and Win 7 it will be pressing F8 during the Dell logo display at early load time

Short list would be:

Advanced boot menu (f8?)
Repair my computer
Restore to an earlier state (or similar)
Factory image
Next next next.

It will restore it to how it was when you got it from the factory, get anything you need beforehand.

A reinstall with the disk will wipe it and only put on the OS (no dell software etc) but takes longer.

i tryed to restore to factory image but said no image so reinstalled the os running very nice now thanks for everyone's help
