I bought components for a rig from OCUK last August, and am pretty sure that my Gigabyte P35C-DS3R mobo is faulty. It has needed me to reset the CMOS twice now, in spite of not updating the BIOS or overclocking. Additionally, I have had to RMA my RAM 4 times now since building the rig, and am starting to think that the problem may not be the RAM at all!!!

How would I go about RMAing this? Do I go through OCUK or Gigabyte? Do I get a new P35C-DS3R, or some money towards a different board? After my experiences of this board, and having read through a whole load of other posts about problems with the P35C-DS3R I dont really want another one!

Talk to OCUK. Explain the issue and the repeated RAM RMA's and ask if you can change the board on the RMA if you suspect it's a compatiblity issue.

I've had OCUK let me change brands on some RAM I had to RMA 3 times (8 months after purchase) - they didn't want to but after some pushing they were pretty good about it.

Just RMA'ed an Asus board for the 3rd time and changed brands on the 3rd RMA. But that was under 7 days.

If you send it to OcUK you only pay the cost of sending it back. If you send it to GBT Tech (Gigabyte UK) in Milton Keynes you have to pay the delivery, plus £10 for the return postage. That says to me that you want to send it to OcUK!
