Hi,

I have just installed a Asrock 4CoreDual-VSTA motherboard and am unable to get the timmings to operate on a 1:1 ratio.

Leaving the fsb at default (266mhz) I would like the memory to run at 1:1 where currently its setting itself at 2:1.

I have set the timmings to 2.5-4-4-8 which is what it is rated for running at 550mhz (275*2) and set the memory in the bios to run at the maxiumum value of 400mhz.

How do I force the motherboard to run the memory to its full potential?

You can't as far as I know. Those are budget motherboards and they only support PC5300 RAM. You can overclock your RAM, but only within the narrow confines allowed unfortunately.
