How to run memtest86 ?

Can someone please help out a noob. I can't seem to get memtest to run.
What do you do ?

Download the CD image ISO. Burn it to a CD then boot your PC from the CD.

& make sure your BIOS is set to boot from CD. Program should run automatically from there

Alternatively, you could use the floppy version as it's less of a hassle to create in cmparison to the .iso version... if you have a floppy drive.

Thats what I'm having problems with the iso version. I can't seem to unzip it properly.

If you have winzip/winRAR on your system it'll want to unzip the files, don't do this, just burn the ISO to the CD and it'll run when you boot from the CD drive.

Don't unzip it, just burn the iso straight to disc with Nero. Alternatively you could download the Ultimate Boot CD iso and use that, that offers a whole range of useful tools including Memtest86+.

Ah, that's what I was doing wrong always unzipping it. Cheers, I'll give it another go.
