How To Run Three Monitors Off A 5850

Anyone know how to run 3 monitors off 1 card...can get 2 working whether it be 2 dvi ...1 hdmi 1 dvi...or 1 dp trying to work out how to run 3 separate monitors...thanks

The first 2 can either be DVI, HDMI or VGA, but the 3rd monitor must be running off the Displayport.

What ports does your monitors have?

ahhh its not mine its a friends.....so what about a dp to hdmi cable would that work

No, needs to be an active adaptor.

active adapter ahh just seen them on the site....so a cable display port to hdmi would not work it has to be display port to active adapter first then work from that ?

ok so with that adapter i need to see if its mini or normal size dp first and buy the right one....then he will be able to use 2 dvi or 1 dvi 1 hdmi and the dp port as well making 3 monitors...
