How to safe boot?

My computer just gave me a BSOD. Now i cant get it to boot up.
I get to windows and all it shows is my desktop wallpaper.

Im not sure how to safe boot. Any help?

F8 on startup unless the board uses that key for a start up option. Was the pc overclocked at all? If so have you tried setting it all to stock?

Yeh it was clocked, and i reverted all back to stock. Ill give F8 ago.

Cheers that worked, at least i can get in and save all my stuff before i do a reinstall of XP. (Im pretty sure it needs one) Fingers crossed X
