How do you fellas secure important files?

At the moment i'm using Windows XP and just creating a zip archieve and then adding a password to the contents inside, but i dont think this is the most secure method :p

Files include stuff like passwords and logins, internet reciepts and important word documents that i wouldnt like people getting their hands on. (not pron!) :)

Do i need to get 3rd party software, and if so, what do you recommend?

Thanks! :)

I use WinZip 10 and select 256-Bit AES encryption then enter a rather long password.

Quite sure a few years ago I read a review that said it was very hard to crack it if not impossible.

Not sure how good it is now compared with newer stuff ?

4gb usb stick that never leaves my person (Its on an extendible leash) and is locked up with true crypt just in case i do ever loose it.

another 8 gb and truecrypt. Still looking to hide my truecrypt inside another folder.

Create a hidden volume. If someone enters the weak password they think they've cracked it and get access to files, but if they enter the proper password they get access to the real ones ;).

Well i've formatted my 1gb usb stick with true crypt, it will now mount and unmount using the hefty password in both xp and ubuntu, it shows up as unformatted when not mounted in truecrypt does that sound right?
