How to sell a game

Hi, i currently work for Game stores Ltd. I can say that you cannot sell on the majority of PC games due to the authentication key which is overwritten when the game is installed. Some games will allow for reinstillation to the same computer up to three times but that is dependant on each game.

to sum up you cannot sell on a PC game anymore as the authentication code gets deleted off of the disk making it unusable after first installation.

Also, as a side note, the place where you get your games is unlikely to take your PC games back once unsealed unless the game has a fault.

hope this helps.

LOL! If you tell all your customers that then you should be disciplined for misinformation.

This is why I refuse to buy steam locked games, it should be my right as a consumer to sell on/trade a game once bored of it just like console games and pc games of the past.

Please contact a mod and request a permabanning.

He is partly right they wont take back pc games because people can just buy the game steal the multiplayer cd key then return it and still use the cd key for online. They weren't accepting back pc games even in 1999 if my memory serves right.

They "steal" their own CD key now do they? You're nearly as bad as the "game employee".

Also, don't forgot that once the install is complete, the disc will burst into flames and destroy itself.

Kind Regards,
Jim Phelps

So I go buy cod4 from a shop for £20 write down the cd key install the game return the game get a full refund for £20 then when I get home I use a no cd crack and play the game just fine online with my legit key.

Hell I don't even need to install the game from the legit copy the only important thing is the cd key I can just go torrent the game as long as I have the legit cd key all is well.
And all for free totally legal and not stealing at all.

you yourself are a prime candidate for a game employee if you don't understand why that is stealing :D

Firstly, it's not stealing as they wouldn't accept it back.

Secondly, it's not really considered "stealing" but rather piracy on the basis that you couldn't get a refund if it's been opened.

nice try but just admit you got it wrong saying they wouldn't accept it back afterwards is a weak attempt to get yourself out of a hole
