What's the best place/way to go about selling a suit? It's pristine (was only worn once) and not particularly cheap, either (about £270 new I think).

I'm hesitant to sell it on the bay since I guess that's not the place most people would go for a nice suit, and anyone in their right mind would want to try it on before buying it if it's that expensive

Any suggestions?

You're not going to get anywhere near a good price for it - who wants to buy a second-hand suit?!

Honestly, I think ebay's your best bet, but be prepared to accept a pittance.

Yeah, I certainly wasn't expecting to get anywhere near what I paid for it. It's been kicking around for quite some time and the money has long since been forgotten about, so I'll take whatever I can get for it (within reason) :)

Thats a point, I still have a suit that I bought years ago, Italian pinstripe fitted suit that I bought for job interviews, havnt worn it in about 5 years its still in mint condition, I think I have shrunk slightly since I bought it, and lost some weight

I bet it drowns me :(

I payed £120 for that

Pretty much the same as mine; worn once, about 5 years ago. I've grown and but become leaner since then, so frustratingly it kind of fits but is slightly too short :(

Might see if I can get it altered before trying to sell it. It's a long shot, but worth a shot I guess.

Just shove it in the back of the wardrobe, you never know when it may come in handy. Failing that, I'll give you £30 if it's a 42L.

It's old, used and was cheap when you bought it - you'll get almost nothing for it. Give it to someone you know who can fit into it. Failing that, Cancer Research or Oxfam etc.

if it's still sold by M&S, go in, buy new one in right size, take back the one that is the wrong size (assuming tags are still on it), get refund, profit :)

EDIT: eh the post i was quoting talking about M&S suits is no longer there ¬_¬ makes my post look rather random

Nice, and since you will be in the store how about helping yourself to a nice flatscreen tv or perhaps dip your hand in the cash register?

Edit: unless you don't actually mean how your post reads?

M&S have a no quibble returns policy, that's what his post is referring to. You can take something back for almost any reason, that's one of their biggest selling points.
