How to set correct mhz?

what board is it? you adjust the spd memory multiplier or choose the correct memory speed from drop down list if its p67/z68/77

or enable xmp if your ram supports it,if its x58 board youll need a big bump in cpu vtt or qpi/vtt voltages and set dram voltage to whats printed on the ram
