how to set up a new printer/network

Pls forgive if the title is misleading? My previous printer has died and I have to buy a new printer and setup a network so the other pc's in the room can use it. The printer isn't wireless but obviously has a network compatible slot. How do i do it having had no experience of this before? Will be using win 7. Thanks

If it's got the necessary interface you should be able to connect it directly to your router using some of this.

Yeah it's just the process after this I'm unsure about having never done it before (win 7). Thanks

Network-aware printers are generally OS-agnostic; most of the configuration can be done without even touching a computer.
