Having problems setting up a network connection between my 360 and my PC via the official MS wireless adapter.
My 360 is downstairs in my living room.
PC is upstairs with a Netgear DG834G wireless router sat next to it.
My laptops are both networked up no bother, can use them anywhere in the house and also in the back garden, so signal strength is excellent.
I have WEP 128bit security on the router. Got the key here printed out ready to enter into the 360, which I thought was all I needed to do?. I assumed it would all be pretty much "plug and play" as soon as the console fired up with the adapter plugged into the USB port of the console.
So what happens is I fire up the console and the adapter shows a red light.
Go into the settings on the 360 and its not showing any networks detected.
Is there something else I need to do?. Maybe something with the PC or the router settings?.
I'm running Vista Ultimate 32 if that has any bearing on things.
Any advice appreciated!!
