The missus has an iPhone now and somehow she has ended up with my calendar and presumably my contacts too (although she hasn't txt back to confirm this yet).

How can we set up iTunes so I get my stuff and she gets hers? Music is fine by the way as we have different playlists.

We have separate Apple IDs but I fear this may be the problem perhaps as its easy to forget to log out in iTunes and log back in with the correct ID if you are doing it in a hurry!

Thanks for any help!

I would have thought the easiest thing to do would be to have 2 separate user accounts on the one Mac...If you are wanting to keep everything separate but on the same box it seems the most logical way to do it?

Sorry forgot to mention that its on a Win7 PC but the same will apply obviously. Ideally I would rather not bother with 2 user accounts, we do very little on there to start with other than surf the web and listen to music, but if that's the only option then I will have to set it up that way.

Thanks.

I can't see it working any other way, you have to sign into iCloud in a separate area, even if you could run 2 concurrent versions of iTunes it would still look at the same sign in from iCloud.

Save the headache and just use 2 user accounts. If you have a big library of music you want to access on both sides, put it into a publicly accessible place like an external drive, and sync each side separately. Takes longer but more practical long term.

Set up her Apple ID for cloud, message, FaceTime but use your apple I'd for Apps, Music and iTunes. You don't have to use the same apple ID for all functions.

This is exactly what I do. iCloud for all personal stuff, no iTunes for anything other than media, and my Apple ID for apps. Quite frankly, there is little reason to avoid cloud solutions for syncing now, makes life so much easier!

Even if you use the machine very little, I'd wager it'd be more convenient having your own user accounts as that way you'll keep your own documents, favourites and so on.

You can also switch between two different users in Windows 7 without logging off first.

The main issue I've got with 2 accounts is that I would have to update both libraries or at least I think I would?

We really don't need 2 accounts though, dont really use favourites or store any docs on the computer but see where you are coming from.

Which is why you only use the second account for Cloud, Facetime and iMessage. Use the same account on both phones for iTunes and the App Store. You are not limited to using only one Apple ID per phone.

This.

Did it for my missus when she had my old iphone. Works perfectly
