how to setup pop3 connector on Exchange 2003 & win 2003?

hi there,

im a bit stumped.

I'm using Windows 2003 Server R2 and want to use my existing Godaddy email account and make it my main exchange mail but it uses pop3 for receiving - i have enabled the service but cant seem to see how to setup the pop3 connector and therefore am unable to receive any mails.

smtp is sending mails to the outside world no problem

You can only use SMTP to receive email with exchange 2003 unless you have SBS. The POP3 service you see is for collecting mail by POP3 from the exchange 2003 server

ahh this explains why i can only find help with SBS

anywork around that anyone knows of?

I used to use some software called popcon, basiclally it collects from a POP3 server and forwards by SMTP to the server of your choice.

I had this issue as I used to use SBS at home for email, and testing and learning.

Now use plain server / exchange and have all my mail auto forwarded to my domain on my own Exchange box, and use my domain as my primary mail account, but keep my old pop ones for history, but they throw their mail into my excahge server.
