Hey guys,

I bought and installed windows xp media centre last night, updating from xp home, so that I could make an easier connection from my pc to my 360 and my tele. I installed it fine, I couldnt install any drivers though as im not sure where I put all the stuff when I got the laptop, so I went onto the dell website and installed as many options as I could remember...

Everything is running smooth...but something is up with the way the screen is looking...the picture doesn't look as smooth, and it looks like everything is stretched slightly....also under display I only have two resolution options now, instead of I think about 4...I only mention this, as everything is slightly bigger now on the screen than I am used to, and would love to gt it all a bit smaller, and the picture quality I had before...

Any ideas how to sort this guys?

also...

When scrolling up and down at speed...the picture goes really jumpy and jaggery (you know what I mean) Where as before it was pretty smooth...

Sounds like you don't have any proper graphics drivers installed. I would imagine you can find them online from your gfx chipset manufacturer, provided whoever makes the chipset (intel maybe?) have made proper vista drivers.

I did go to dell, but it wasnt much help...Did go to the Intel one as recommended...and it seems to have sorted most of the problems out :D

Much more of a happy bunny!

from memory, dell website --> support + drivers --> select inspison --> select 6400 --> select os/language --> expand display/video then download the one you want.
