just fitted a new samsung 840 ssd & the the boot times are much faster but are there any settings in the bios to make it even faster.
The bios start up takes about 20sec & windows about 10sec.
If i could stop the bios flashing up on the screen like the megatrends screen then it would be a lot faster.

It highly depends on the motherboard. But yes, depending on the board, see if there's a quick boot option, that should help speed stuff up. Disable any features you're not using on the board as well, such as 3rd party USB/SATA controllers, which should also help speed up the POST process.

The Gigabyte board I have has a slow BIOS, it takes a good 10 seconds or so until Windows kicks in even with quick boot enabled and the 3rd party USB and SATA controllers disabled. There's an UEFI update but I haven't felt the need to upgrade.
