Turning them on is a good place, usually.

If you're confident in adult Lego, just build your own. If you're a bit hesitant, I'm sure OCUK have some fantastic pre-builds.

I meant do I sign up to certain accounts to download games and are there ones to avoid

The main platforms are Steam, Ubisoft's Uplay, EA's Origin, Blizzard's Battle.net, Good Old Games GoG Galaxy, Epic Game Store and lately Microsofts Game Pass.

It's probably worth having an account on each of the services so that you get the best deals. Epic Game Store (EGS) gives a free game away each week. Often old but a good way to build a library for free. You can get Microsoft Game Pass for relatively cheap if you're savvy (I got 3 years for £60 opposed to £12 a month or whatever it is) and have access to a lot of decent games. If you have Amazon Prime, they also give away free games.

GoG Galaxy is great for having all of your games across the different stores in one location.

I rarely buy games directly through Steam these days and often shop around on CDKeys or CJS-Cdkeys and activate the product on whichever platform I bought the key for. It's much cheaper than going directly through the clients.

Some people are staunch 'no steam. no buy' but I left that mindset a while ago as there are better deals to found elsewhere.

Steam is a good place to start. As already mentioned, Epic is pretty decent in that they will give away free games, some pretty decent ones too. At the moment, they are giving away Saints Row IV if that's your kind of game. No doubt there will be a winter/Christmas sale on Steam coming up soon so I would keep an eye out for that.

cdkeys.com unless the games on a massive discount during a steam sale, even brand new games it's usually 20+ cheaper on cdkeys.com.

for example NFS unbound launched a few days ago at £60 but was on cdkeys.com for £36.99

Download steam and epic game , the later gives away some great games at times and as others have said get a code key from cdkeys unless there is a good sale on.

Like others have said, Get Steam and Epic, Steam has so many games to choose from and at different price points, you can grab a fun cheap indie game or AAA, grab Epic's free weekly games as well.
