A few weeks ago i installed some samsung software to get my contacts off my old mobile. I did what i needed with the software and uninstalled it straight after. Ever since then my laptop has been crashing every day
When it crashes, the lan network tray icon always seems to start flashing even tho i'm not using lan (im on the wireless connection and nothing is plugged into my lan).
So i started thinking that as the samsung mobile software probably installed modem drivers etc this could hav corrupted somehting. This is what i've tried/done so far.
Event viewer doesn't show anything unusual.
System restore is turned off so cant use that.
Tried uninstalling ALL my network connections in device manager and putting the drivers back on again.
Its XP Pro, fully patched up and running kaspersky AV.
I dont really want to rebuild this from scratch, but i'm running out of ideas fast??? I wondered about using the windows repair thing but i'm not sure how destructive this is going to be to my installed progams etc.
Idea's of what to try next?
Cheers
