I'm currently having an issue where whenever i create a user profile it is naming it "userprofilename.COMPUTERNAME" but most programs such as firefox etc are trying to use "userprofilename" on its own, i've checked the environment variables and they are set to the proper user profile including the computername, but i want profiles created just to have the profilename and not .COMPUTERNAME on the end.

I hope someone has had this problem before :(

Cheers,

Mark

I think Windows will suffix the users profile folder name with either the domain or computer name depending on which you have logged onto.

So if the machine is a member of a domain, there should be 2 profiles for Administrator, one of which will be suffixed with the domain name.

EDIT - Sorry, that's not very clear. This should only occur when you are logging in with a username that has already been used to log in locally or into another domain.

I'm still not explaining it well lol. n/m. :p
