Just got some Wrought Iron furniture from a relative. I have power hosed it off and a lot of the paint has come off with the dirt.

I tried a wire brush but that seems to much like hard work in these days of technology :)

Is there anything I can put on the metal to enable the paint to come off more easily?

Automotive parts store might be another place to look for Nitromors. Normally a green or black/silver rectangular can with a green lid, just so you know what you're looking for. It's good stuff! Stripped my old ally bike frame in about 30 mins!

thats one option, not sure if it will work on all paints tho.
iirc I can recall someone talking about bathing painted stuff in warm white spirits?

failing that, fire, orbital bombardment, cats, mustard, chuck norris or any other meme you feel like

If you have any metal works near you, ask them to bath it for you. will cost about £20 but they dip it into an acid bath, 5 mins later all clean. worth every penny.

Still, although in the north there are a few metal places left, not sure where you are.

Yeah I tried a paint stripper and to be fair, its *****.

Gonna take it down the local paint shop, same place that done my Landy. Get them to blast it.

Landy. And obviously I don't want anything getting on the red one :)

When stripping paint at work i often use a heat gun, particularly on metal as i find nitromors to be to slow.
