How to tell if my fans are working correctly?

Sorry this is basic novice stuff I know.

Just after some advice on a new build. How do I know the exhaust fan is working as much as it should to take air out? Will it ramp up on it's own or do I need to set stuff manually within the bios?

Same for the intake, I guess that detects the internal temp and speeds up accordingly?

I'm using an MSI B450M Mortar Board with a 3600 which I do think is running rather warm though I haven't actually put it under load yet. Was idling around 40. (Stock cooler and paste)

1 intake and 1 exhaust fan at present.

What can I use to monitor temps during a game?

Thanks any advice for a n00b would be great

Things will get a little toasty with the stock cooler, adding more or speeding up case fans might drop it by 1-3c but nothing significant, the only way to get a real improvement is to go with an aftermarket cooler.

I use my brothers wraith prism with my 3600 as he got a kraken x62 for his 3700x and that keeps temps around 30c idle and 67 max load.

A great budget option for anyone with a 3600 would be https://www.overclockers.co.uk/amd-wraith-max-am4-rgb-cpu-cooler-hs-002-am.html
It's only £13 and pretty much the same as the prism.

I suggest you read guide to basics of case airflow and how to optimizce it in below link. That should give you basic understanding of how to setup case airflow.

What case are you using? Key to good air cooling is good airflow moving component coolers' heated exhaust out of case without it mixing with cool intake air going into cooler. I've found case intake / exhaust fans are like radiator and cooler push/pull fans .. with good intake fans and all opening not covered by intake fans in their respective ends/sides of case closed of so air fans are pushing into case can't leak out but is forced (pushed) through case and out works very well.
