How to tell which ram chips on crucial ballistix?

Just got some 6400, is there anyway to find out which ram chips its using?

does the heat spreader just come off?

Why do you want to know what chips they are? The chips are irrelevant - it's what they do that matters.

Taking off the heatspreaders will invalidate the warranty, more improtantly - are you confident you can get the heatspreaders back on again?

Should be easy as hell to put them back on. Trick is getting em off i would imagine as they will be glued on with somit otherwise how would they stay on lol.

easy to now

just overclock them at 500/ 550 mhz at 15-5-5-5 with 2.2Vdimm

if they do it stable then they have Micron D9 chip´s on it
