Hi all,
I built myself a new server to replace my ageing Dell Poweredge which I use for Vmware ESX. I brought a Foxconn P45A-S motherboard, Intel 8800, Adaptec 2410sa, 8gb ram (cheap) and two 1tb disks.
"The reason I brought (cheap) ddr2 memory as I want to upgrade to 16gb, but it's too expensive for me currently."
Anyway, I installed ESX3i and over a period of a week, moved all my vm's accross. All was fine untill it started behaving oddly, running slow and I recieved a few blue screens on the vm's and a memory error.
I'm going to move everything back to my Poweredge and do some testing.
What software can I use to test memory, cpu, etc. I can put on Windows XP or suchlike, but i'd like to do a thorough soak test (I should have done this first, but hey)
Any help would be great
Regards
Gareth
