How to test AV/amp reciver?

Hi there is there anything I can do to test AV receiver as I just found Yamaha RX-V3900 for 100 pounds and the person who sells it doesn't have any speakers?

You could connect headphones, at least that will test whether it does work. Without speakers, that's probably as good as you can do.
