How to test power consumption

Hi All,

Pretty much in the title, how do i test the full power that my rig is using?

What you need is a power meter.

Do a google shopping search for 'Power Meter'

This'll give you a reading of the total power draw including the wasted energy your PSU is dropping as heat.

As Tealc says, what you need is a plug in power meter. You can get them from DIY shops for around a tenner. Your rig will pull somewhere in the region of 350-400w at full load as a rough estimate.

Ive just bought one for £9.99, model no.
