Ok i'm currently in the process of splitting my PC and selling it bit by bit.

I've not started breaking it, but i'm looking at a month or so gap between me having to hand over the bits to people, and having the funds to buy an imac.

I've already got an aluminium unibody macbook with a 160gb disk. But my PC disk is 1tb and largely full. Currently formatted in NTFS

can Macs read NTFS disks at all if i get a USB caddy for it ? Never tried it. Or failing that, anybody got any more elegant ideas ?

When I did this I think I found the easiest way was using a network cable as this gets around the issue of drive formatting. Crossover Cat5e/6 between PC and Mac = 1Gbps data transfer. You'll need to get a bigger HDD in that MacBook though.

Alternatively, you could obtain an external 1TB drive from somewhere, format it in FAT32, and move stuff from your PC onto it, then from this to your MacBook.
