I have some games installed on my boot drive. Its only a 120GB Force 3 so I would like to move them to another SSD I have put in my system.

Is it just a case of dragging and dropping the files over? or should I uninstall then re-install the games in the new drive?

Uninstall, move the folders left to the new location as they may contain save games, settings etc then reinstall pointing to the new paths.

you can move them to another drive with ease (non steam games) , 2 things

1. You will have to edit reg keys in hklm/software/ name of game etc
to point to the new path / location
2. you will need to go to hklm/software/microsoft/windows/current version/Uninstall
and edit file paths to point to your new location (that way patches and other stuff will know where it lives now)

If they are steam games , you could just move the entire steam folder

if you just want to move a few steam games have a look at this

superb! thank you:)

I use Junction (symbolic link) to achieve what you are after.

I use it to move games to my a SSD drive from my steam folder. You then don't need to mess about with the registry.
