I'm revisiting an old small business site of mine and planning to rebuild it with SEO in mind and promote it more.
I've gone to put a like counter on the home page only to realise that somehow the home page, ie. mydomain.com already has 123 likes.
I also have a facebook page for this company at facebook.com/mydomain
Unfortunately as I started it from scratch I've only managed to get about 20 people to like it the actual facebook page for the company.
Is there a way to merge the numbers?
I'm not even sure where the 123 likes have come from as there hasn't been a like button on the page at least for a couple of years.
I would have thought perhaps is the domain entry for the facebook page already had likes associated with it perhaps it would transfer over to the page?
